John XXIII College is well-connected by road, rail, and shared transport, making the daily journey to and from campus straightforward for families across Perth.
Our College operates a private charter bus service through Horizons West, providing affordable and dependable transport for both Primary and Secondary students each school day.
Three routes currently service the north, east, and south of Perth, covering the following suburbs: Swanbourne, Cottesloe, Mosman Park, North Fremantle, East Fremantle, Floreat, City Beach, Wembley Downs, Scarborough, Doubleview, Woodlands, Churchlands, Wembley, and West Leederville.
This service is available for both Primary and Secondary students.
Tickets are priced at $2.50 per journey and are purchased online through the Horizons West e-ticketing system, linked directly to your child's SmartRider Card.
To register for the charter bus service:
If a card is forgotten or misplaced, students may provide their name and student code to the driver.
Detailed stop locations and pick-up and drop-off times are available in the current Charter Bus Flyer.
Routes are reviewed each school holiday period in response to community feedback. Families wishing to suggest a new stop or adjustment to an existing route are welcome to submit an online request. Please note that all route changes are assessed against safety and efficiency considerations to ensure travel times remain reasonable for all students.
All students are eligible for a Student SmartRider Card, which is used across a range of College services – including public transport, the Horizons West charter bus, canteen purchases, library borrowing, and campus printing.
Please note that Transperth credit is not transferable to the Horizons West charter bus service. Funds for each service must be added separately.
