Application Process
and Timeline

Step 1

Expression of Interest

The first step in your enrolment journey is to complete an Expression of Interest.

As the Expression of Interest submission date is one of the factors considered when assessing applications, we encourage early submissions. Expressions of Interest are accepted from birth.

Submissions must include the child’s birth certificate and payment of the non-refundable fee.

Step 2

Invitation to Complete a Full Application

As the enrolment date approaches, families will be invited to provide additional information and documentation to support their application.

Kindergarten (and Pre-Kindergarten)

The application process for Kindergarten students takes place two years before commencement.

Families who successfully secure a Kindergarten place will have the opportunity to register for Pre-Kindergarten.

Year 5 (Early Entry)

Early entry places are limited, and students who secure a place in this cohort will continue their enrolment at John XXIII College through Year 6 and into Secondary school (Year 7).

The application process for Year 5 students takes place when students are in Year 3 (Term 4).

Year 7

The application process for Year 7 students takes place when students are in Year 4 (Term 1).

All Other Year Groups & Late Applications

Applications for all other year groups and late applications will be added to our waiting pool.

Step 3

Assessment of Applications

We appreciate the time families dedicate to completing their applications, and we carefully review each application received.

Enrolment selection is a complex process that incorporates the College's Enrolment Policy, as well as any pastoral considerations or context.

Please note that the College receives more applications than available places, and we are unable to offer interviews to all applicants.
