OPPORTUNITIES AT EVERY LEVEL

INTERHOUSE SPORT

Interhouse sport brings the entire College together in spirited, inclusive competition. Open to both Primary and Secondary students, these events celebrate participation, House pride, and the camaraderie that defines College life.

INTERSCHOOL COMPETITIONS

John XXIII College competes across a wide range of interschool competitions, including:

  • Associated and Catholic Colleges (ACC)
    A statewide competition involving over 89 member schools. John XXIII College currently competes in the highly competitive A-Division program.
  • Northern Associated Schools (NAS)
    A sub-group of the ACC offering multi-division carnivals across summer and winter sports.
  • School Sport WA
    Primary and Secondary competitions, with elite athletes and staff coaches selected to represent Western Australia at a national level.
  • Independent Primary School Heads of Australia (IPSHA)
    Competitive carnivals for independent schools across a range of sports.
  • Independent Girls Schools Sports Association (IGSSA) Rowing
    Competitive series of regattas for girls' crews culminating in the prestigious Head of the River Regatta.
  • Rowing WA All Schools Regattas
    Mixed crew competition against other Secondary schools.
  • Perth Netball Association (PNA)
    As one of the largest netball clubs in Western Australia, the John XXIII Netball Club competes as part of the Perth Netball Association with teams represented from Years 2 through to Year 12, as well as College alumni.

REPRESENTATIVE PATHWAYS

Athletics, cross-country, and swimming offer structured pathways from College carnivals through to interschool, state, and national competition. Specialist coaches provide dedicated training, technique development, and individual support – giving students every opportunity to pursue their ambitions at the highest level.

COLLEGE CLUBS

The John XXIII Netball Club is a member of the Perth Netball Association and one of the largest netball clubs in Western Australia, welcoming players of all abilities. The John XXIII Rowing Club competes within the IGSSA and All Schools' competitions, catering for a broad range of skills and aspirations.

Netball Club

Open to students from Years 2 through to Year 12, as well as College alumni, the Club is built on an inclusive philosophy that places equal value on participation and performance. We encourage students to enjoy the game, build their skills, and remain competitive, all within a supportive environment.

Rowing Club

Whether your child is picking up an oar for the first time or chasing a spot at the Head of the River, our Club caters to rowers of all ages and abilities. Comprehensive coaching, a welcoming community and a demanding competition schedule ensure every student can find their place on the water.

SPORTS TOURS

Students have the opportunity to represent the College in national sports tours, accompanied and coached by College staff.
