Absentee Notice

Parents and guardians are required to notify the College of any student absence.

Parents and guardians are required to notify the College of any student absence. Please submit a notification before 8:30am on the day of absence, or in advance for known appointments or planned leave.

Absentee notices are submitted through SEQTA Engage. Timely and accurate information allows us to account for every student throughout the day and respond promptly if a child is unaccounted for.

Where an absence has not been explained, a member of College staff will contact parents or guardians to confirm a student's whereabouts in keeping with our duty of care responsibilities.

How to submit an absentee notice

  1. Log in to SEQTA Engage using your usual username and password.
  2. Select your child’s profile (if you have more than one child at the College).
  3. Navigate to the Absences or Notifications menu option.
  4. Choose the date (or dates) of the absence and indicate whether it is a full day or part day.
  5. Complete all required fields, including the reason for absence and a brief comment.
  6. Submit the absentee notice.
  7. Repeat the process for each additional child, if needed.
