Every Secondary student at John XXIII College is issued a SmartRider card, which is used to access a variety of services. Primary students can also access a SmartRider card.

CANTEEN PURCHASES

Secondary students may use their SmartRider for cashless canteen purchases through Flexischools, a secure online platform for managing school payments. To get started, create a Flexischools account and link your child's SmartRider card.

TRANSPERTH AND PRIVATE CHARTER BUSES

Primary and Secondary students use their SmartRider to receive concession travel on Transperth buses, trains and ferries.

  • To manage funds or hotlist a lost card, register your child's SmartRider on the Transperth website below.
  • For College charter buses, set up an account with Horizons West eTicketing
  • Note: funds loaded to a Transperth SmartRider are not transferable to a Horizons West account, and vice versa.

HOW TO OBTAIN A SMARTRIDER CARD

  • Primary students
Families can order a SmartRider card through our College Library. Library staff will arrange the card with Transperth and notify the classroom teacher when it is ready for collection.
  • Year 7 students
Our College automatically applies for SmartRider cards at the start of the year. Cards are distributed to students via Homeroom.
  • Replacement cards
If a card is lost, a replacement can be ordered through our College Library. Cards generally take approximately one week to arrive.
