Student Devices

As part of our ongoing commitment to educational excellence and equity, students are provided with the tools they need to engage confidently in a modern digital learning environment.

Supporting families in the digital age

A College-owned device program is in place for students in Years 4 to 9. Over the next three years, the College will implement the College-owned device program for Years 10 to 12 students.

CURRENT DEVICE STRUCTURE

  • Years 4 to 6
College-owned Apple iPad (issued and managed by the College).
  • Years 7 to 9
College-owned Windows device (issued and managed by the College).
  • Years 10 to 12
Student-owned device (Windows or Mac) that meets the College’s published minimum requirements. Families may select a device within the College’s published technical requirements, and all devices must reliably connect to the College network and support required learning applications.

Until full implementation of the College-owned device model has been completed, Year 10 students may choose a College-owned device or an approved student-owned device.

RESPONSIBLE USE OF TECHNOLOGY

We acknowledge that technology is a powerful tool for learning, creativity and connection. To ensure all students benefit from a safe, respectful and productive digital environment, the College maintains a comprehensive Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Student Use Agreement.

In Primary, the Agreement helps students understand how to use their iPad safely, respectfully and responsibly, outlining age-appropriate guidelines for caring for their device, developing positive digital citizenship, and using technology in ways that support learning.

For Secondary students, the Agreement outlines the College's expectations for responsible use of all digital devices, networks and online services, providing clear guidelines for acceptable and unacceptable use, supporting students to develop strong digital citizenship skills.

Parents and guardians play a vital role in supporting their child's safe and effective use of technology. Families are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the ICT Student Use Agreement as part of our shared commitment to a safe and supportive environment for every student.
