The World Scholar's Cup is an annual international academic program that brings together more than 15,000 students from over 65 countries. Our teams competed across four events:
- The Scholar's Challenge: a 120-question exam completed individually within 60 minutes.
- Collaborative Writing: each team member selects a different prompt drawn from the curriculum and argues for, against, or critically about it, in any written form.
- Team Debate: teams argue the affirmative or negative case on topics drawn from the WSC curriculum.
- The Scholar's Bowl: teams work together to answer multiple-choice questions of progressively increasing difficulty.
Alongside the competition, students took part in community events with peers from other countries, and toured some of Thailand's most significant cultural sites, the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho's reclining Buddha and traditional massage school, and Ayutthaya, including Bang Pa-In and the historical park's temple complex.

Our scholars' performance across all categories means every one of our teams has qualified for the Tournament of Champions at Yale University, a significant achievement for the College.
Looking ahead to the US
Preparations are now underway for the Tournament of Champions tour. The team will depart in Week 14 of next term, travelling first to New York for a few nights before continuing to New Haven, Connecticut, where the competition will be held at Yale. While in the US, students will also visit Harvard and MIT in Boston.
