Homework Club and extended library hours

At John XXIII College, we are committed to providing every student with the support and resources they need to thrive. Our Homework Club, held in the Ignatius Centre Library, is back by popular demand and now open to all secondary students from Years 7 to 12. This initiative embodies our Ignatian commitment to intellectual rigour, collaborative inquiry, and the joy of learning as a life-long pursuit.

When and where

  • every Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm–6:00pm in term time
  • Ignatius Centre Library

Students are welcome to attend for as long as they need during these hours. The library provides a safe, flexible and well-resourced environment for focused study, group work and access to a wide range of learning materials.

Tailored support

Our Homework Club offers a unique blend of support:

  • teachers are available until 4:30pm to assist with homework and assessment tasks
  • academic tutors, including top-performing alumni, provide guidance until 6:00pm
  • specialist support is available on selected days (see library for details)

This tiered approach ensures students can access help with specific subjects, general study techniques or simply enjoy a quiet space to work. The involvement of alumni tutors – many of whom are recent WACE top performers – adds a valuable mentoring dimension, connecting current students with graduates who understand the challenges and opportunities of secondary study.

How to join

Students must sign in and out at the library kiosk.
