Fasting, giving and praying together
Live Simply Day is a meaningful opportunity for personal reflection and prayer, combined with learning and action. Grounded in the Lenten pillars of fasting, almsgiving and prayer, the day encouraged students and staff alike to make small but intentional choices in their daily lives.
From consuming less and taking shorter showers to walking or riding to school, limiting screen time, and enjoying a simple lunch, these quiet acts of solidarity are a powerful reminder that living simply helps us refocus on what truly matters – and opens our hearts to the needs of others.
Supporting Caritas Australia's Project Compassion
Alongside these personal commitments, Live Simply Day gave our community the opportunity to give generously in support of Caritas Australia's Project Compassion. The funds raised will make a real and lasting difference in the lives of people experiencing poverty and injustice around the world – a tangible expression of our College's commitment to faith in action.
Live Simply Day is just one of the ways our community has embraced the spirit of Lent in the lead-up to Easter. We are grateful to every student, staff member and family who participated, reflected and gave generously. It is in these small, everyday choices that we truly live out our calling as a faith community.
Live simply, so that others may simply live.
