The season concluded on 19 September, with five College teams earning the opportunity to compete on Grand Final day, a wonderful achievement reflecting the commitment, hard work and passion shown by our players throughout the year.
Year 7 Jade – Premiers
Year 7 Jade capped off a fantastic season with a dominant Grand Final performance, building momentum throughout the match to secure a convincing 15-goal victory. Their teamwork, composure and positive attitude made them deserved premiers, and for many players, this was their first season of College netball, making the achievement even more special. Well done to coach Vonn Gillett.
Year 9 Quartz – Premiers
Year 9 Quartz produced one of the most exciting matches of the day, holding their nerve in a thrilling, closely fought contest to claim a hard-fought 3-goal win. The team stayed composed under pressure, trusting in their structures and teamwork to come away with the premiership. Well done to WANL coach Trinity Rond.
Runners-up
Three College teams also competed with tremendous pride on Grand Final day:
- Year 10 Amethyst – Runners-up (lost by 7 goals)
- Year 10 Silver – Runners-up (lost by 7 goals)
- Years 11/12 Crystal – Runners-up (lost by 3 goals, a very close game)
While the results didn't go their way, all three teams competed with determination, resilience and sportsmanship. Reaching a Grand Final is a significant achievement in itself, and each team should be proud of their season.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our coaches, managers, umpires and families for their ongoing support throughout the year. The success of the John XXIII College Netball Club would not be possible without the time, energy and commitment of our wider community.
To finish the 2026 season with two premierships and three runner-up teams is an outstanding result. We look forward to welcoming new and returning members and to another exciting season in 2027.
