Students who achieved high results were invited to attend, joined by staff and special guests. The morning began with a warm welcome and a shared breakfast, providing an opportunity for students to connect with peers who share a passion for learning and personal growth.
A highlight of the event was the address from our guest speaker, College alumnus Ben Negus (Class 2021). Ben shared stories from his own journey since graduating, including his experiences in university clubs, law, entrepreneurial ventures and volunteering. He encouraged students to keep an open mind about their future pathways, to embrace opportunities both within and beyond their studies, and to value the friendships and networks formed along the way. Ben’s message was clear: success is not a straight line, and the most rewarding experiences often come from stepping outside your comfort zone and pursuing your interests with energy and curiosity.
The High Achievers’ Breakfast celebrates more than results. It is a chance to reflect on the importance of hard work, resilience, discipline and a willingness to try new things. The event also highlights the strength of our alumni community, whose ongoing involvement provides valuable mentorship and inspiration for current students. As Ben reminded us, the connections made at John XXIII College can last a lifetime, opening doors to new experiences and lifelong friendships.
Congratulations to all our high achievers for their dedication and commitment. We look forward to seeing how you continue to grow, lead, inspire and contribute as you move through your journey at the College and beyond.
