Golden Ticket Triumph: John XXIII's Chocolate Factory Sells Out!

John XXIII College’s production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has delivered pure theatrical magic across its six sold-out performances, bringing Roald Dahl’s whimsical world to life with energy, heart, and dazzling spectacle.

From the first curtain rise to the final bow, this Term 2 highlight has captivated audiences with vibrant songs, inventive choreography, and a cast of over 40 student performers from Years 9 to 12 who embodied golden ticket winners, Oompa Loompas, and Willy Wonka himself with remarkable passion and skill.

To our extraordinary cast and crew: your tireless hard work and creative spirit – poured into every rehearsal and performance – have made this production a triumph, fostering resilience, collaboration, and confidence that will resonate long after the stage lights dim.

A sincere thank you also to our Friends of Music and Drama volunteers, whose invaluable behind-the-scenes support, from warm front-of-house welcomes to seamless logistics, ensured every one of the six shows sparkled without a hitch, embodying the College’s collaborative Ignatian ethos.
