Year 12 Drama 3AB
Overview
Drama at year 12 is taught at level 3.
Students refine their skills in voice and movement and develop techniques for control and delivery in performance. Students learn about different theoretical approaches to representational and presentational drama and the ways that drama texts can be reworked for contemporary performance contexts and audiences. Students apply conventions and techniques of drama forms and styles to develop original works and to interpret scripted texts.

Assessments
There are three types of assessment; performance/production, response and investigation
- Performance/production tasks: 50% | Response including examinations: 25% | Investigation: 25%
Reporting
A brief interim report on class work and behaviour will be issued towards the end of Term 1. The achievement for the unit will be reported as a College A - E grade as well as a percentage mark and a written examination mark. In addition, the student's approach to class work and behaviour will be reported via the usual key performance indicators.
Student expectations
Many lessons are presented as practical workshops. Tasks are rehearsed during class time. Most practical assessments are held after school or in the evening. Students are expected to continue their characterisation process, in preparation for a performance, at home. Further investigation of texts, including research, is required as homework.
