Secondary Religious Education Teacher

John XXIII College is seeking a committed Catholic teacher for a replacement position in Terms 3 and 4, 2015. We are ideally looking for a teacher who is experienced at teaching Religious Education from Year 8 - Year 11, and has the appropriate Accreditation to teach Religious Education. Graduate teachers however will also be considered and will be well supported by a team of experienced colleagues.

An ability to form meaningful relationships with students while maintaining an orderly and purposeful learning environment will be an essential criteria. Contemporary teaching skills and an ability to integrate 1:1 iPads in the classroom will be also highly regarded.

The applicant must actively support and promote the Ethos of the Catholic school and all teachers are required to have or be prepared to obtain, necessary accreditation through Catholic Education WA as well as registration with TRBWA. A current Working with Children Card/application must be submitted at the time of application.

Selection Criteria

  • The ability to teach Religious Education
  • Current Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of WA (essential)
  • Current Working With Children clearance and Police Check (essential)
  • Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School (favourable)
