Science/Chemistry Teacher

In the spirit of John XXIII, Mary Ward and Ignatius Loyola, our College seeks to develop people of competence, conscience and compassion who are committed to God and the service of others.

John XXIII College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join the College in 2015.

The successful applicant will have a passion for Science education, excellent communication skills, an energetic and collaborative approach with a depth of knowledge used to enrich Science through practical and investigative teaching strategies.
Competence with technology and ICT and experience at using computer applications to enhance Science teaching and learning are strongly desirable.

Excellent teaching and classroom management skills are essential, along with a desire to assist students to achieve their full potential.

The applicants must actively support and promote the Ethos of the Catholic school and all teachers are required to have, or be prepared to obtain, necessary accreditation through the Catholic Education Office as well as registration with TRBWA. A current Working With Children card/application must be submitted at the time of application.

Selection Criteria

  • The ability to teach Secondary Science (preferably Chemistry at Upper School level)
  • Current Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of WA (essential)
  • Current Working With Children clearance and Police Check (essential)

Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School (favourable)
