John XXIII College Athletics
The ACC team has been selected please note that there may still be changes to the team published. A copy of the program along with the information letter is also attached. Congratulations to all students selected. Training is in full swing and is open to all students in year 7 to 12 not just those selected in the ACC team. Training is on Monday and Wednesday from 3.30 - 4.30pm and will continue until the ACC carnival on the 19th September.

Emerging Tigers Cricket
Claremont Nedlands is committed to developing talented junior cricketers from John XXIII. The program will be designed to produce quality cricketers who can represent John XXIII College and CNCC in the Under 17s District competition, as 15 and 16 year olds. We will be launching the Emerging Tigers on November the 15 at Creswell Park in Swanbourne. We have appointed Chris Brabazon as Coach. Chris is a level 3 coach (one of the few in the state) has worked as a WACA cricket officer and is currently splitting his time playing high level cricket in the UK and Perth. The sessions will run on Wednesdays from 4.15pm to 5.15pm through the normal cricket season and will focus on elite skill development across batting, bowling, and fielding. Anyone already registered with CNJCC will be contacted and invited to attend - but this program is open to all talented cricketers from John XXIII (preferably from Years 8, 9 and 10 but some Year 7 and 11 students may be invited to take part). Rugby News
Associates Rugby Club are inviting boys and parents from John XXIII Year 7-Year 11 to attend a rugby drills and training session run by ex-Wallaby Stirling Mortlock on Friday 13 September at Allen Park in Swanbourne starting at 4.15 pm. Please contact Mr Maxwell if you wish to attend.
Stirling Mortlock played 117 games for the ACT Brumbies and 23 games for the Melbourne rebels captaining both teams and was named super rugby player of the year in 2002. He played 80 games for the Wallabies from 2000 to 2009 including as captain from 2006 and was a member of Bledisloe & Tri-Nation Series' cup victories as well as two world cup wallaby teams. In 2012, Stirling was awarded Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for service to rugby.
