Around the Primary

Dear Parents

Our Interhouse Athletics Carnival was a huge success on Monday. Congratulations to all the Years 3-6 students - it was great to see their determination and perseverance throughout the day. They are also to be commended for their enthusiastic level of participation, team work and general support of fellow team members. It was wonderful to have so many parents and friends on the oval encouraging and supporting the students. A big thank you to all the staff, parents and the grounds staff for their assistance on the day. Finally, congratulations to Mr Alderman for his exemplary organisation and preparation of this magnificent carnival.

Well done to all our Houses.

Congratulations to our champion House for 2012: LORETO

We farewell Mrs Raelene Palmer who filled the position of Special Needs teacher whilst Mrs Brenda Meredith has been on Long Service Leave. We also farewell Mrs Vanessa Reside (Support Teacher), who is now looking forward to being a full-time Mum. We thank Raelene and Vanessa for their wonderful contributions to the College and look forward to them visiting in the future.

We ended the term today with an entertaining and informative assembly organised by Year 6G. Special thanks to Miss Coniglio and Mrs Scott for all their hard work behind the scenes.

As we approach the holidays I take this opportunity to thank all children, staff and parents who have contributed to the success of another busy term. I wish you all a happy and safe holiday break and look forward to welcoming you all back for the start of the new term, on Monday 15th October.

Kind regards

Antoinette De Pinto
Head of Primary

Years 3 and 5 NAPLAN reports will be posted home during the holidays.

The Year Six students were very lucky to have some furry and active visitors last week - two special trained police dogs. Special thanks to Mr Gingell for organising this very informative incursion.

Congratulations to Laura Trapnell (6B) who has become the State Champion for the September Rhythmic Gymnastics States competition for National 6 Level for her rope, ribbon and ball routines. She received an overall trophy for the highest score and received a gold medal for her rope routine, a gold medal for her ribbon routine and a silver medal for her ball routine.
