Rowing
After an intense start to the season, the boys who rowed over the weekend at the Trinity regatta showed how the John XXIII rowers can keep themselves together! We had a great day of racing despite the heat, with our Senior Quad taking the win for the third week in a row, and well done to the Year 8B's who took out first in the Year 8 Quads. All crews raced well, thanks to the rowers for making it a great day overall, you were very organised and represented the College well! We have the weekend off, and then have our final PSA Regatta on the 8th of March hosted by Christ Church. It would be great to see all parents, friends and family down to watch what will be our last regatta in Perth for the boys season! On that note, please be aware that the Bunbury Head of the River Regatta is fast approaching. It is being held on Sunday 6th April, at the Bunbury Rowing Club. Some parents have already organised accommodation, but if you haven't, we urge you to be quick!
Our 21st Birthday Event is also fast approaching! All club members, parents and friends of rowing - past and present - are invited to gather for 'an evening on the green' to celebrate 21 years of rowing at John XXIII College. The night will honour the club's proud history and express our vision for the future. An important part of this will be a display of memorabilia and we are looking to borrow photos, trophies, uniforms and more. Please contact club secretary Sue Hyde at shyde64@gmail.com / 0419 608 478 if you have anything you'd like to share, even if it's a favourite photo from the last few years. Please click on the invitation we would love to see you there!
