Girls Rowing Regatta

Saturday 30th June at Canning Bridge

It was a slightly cooler morning by the river together with our dedicated rowers and parents for the third regatta of the season hosted by Methodist Ladies College. Due to illness we had a small crew this week competing in 7 extremely competitive events.

Again the entire crew displayed fine technique, showing fierce determination and an abundance of undeniable rowing spirit to achieve remarkable results.

Schoolgirl Single Scull A - Leesha Green achieved 4th place in a very competitive race to beat her personal best time.

Year 10 Single Scull A

Eleanor Weber challenged her competitors to achieve 4th place in an extremely fierce race.

Year 10 Single Scull B

Kate Fletcher surged forward with astonishing strength to finish 1st place.

Year 9 Scull A

Arabelle O'Rourke again performed with amazing skill to achieve 3rd place.

To celebrate the last day of training for the term, the club hosted a breakfast for the girls which they devoured with incredible enthusiasm and much appreciation. Thanks girls for all your hard work training and the long hours which you put into your rowing!

Our next regatta is on Saturday, 4th August, at Champion Lakes, which is Western Australia's only purpose-built rowing facility - it is an exciting facility that is enjoyed by not only WA's water sport fraternity, but the community as a whole. Please feel welcome to come down and support the girls and see them in action! Racing is generally between 8.30-11.30am.
