Primary
Dear Parents,
All staff have been so positive about the Parent Meetings held this week - thank you most sincerely for arriving on time and for the wonderful way you have engaged with teachers - a terrific community effort!
At John XXIII College we have an extremely hard-working staff and I am grateful and very proud of every teacher for so generously making themselves available for interviews before and after school this week.
In relation to this meeting opportunity, I would like to thank the parents who have taken the time and thank teachers by way of a note, email or personal thank you - a little encouragement and appreciation really goes a long way!
We had an action packed day at school today with our celebrations for Primary House Day.
Our Primary school community commenced the day with a beautiful Mass. A big thank you to Ms Allen for preparing this lovely liturgy. The students are also to be congratulated on the reverent way they conducted themselves throughout the liturgy.
We were blessed with perfect weather to be outside for our lunch-time picnic, followed by the fun and games of tabloid sports. The students had lots of fun with friends and their teachers too and also displayed exceptional behaviour and good manners throughout the day.
A very special thank you to Miss Monastra, Mrs Bloodworth, some Year 11 students and also the amazing team of parents, volunteers, namely Ms Mignacca, Ms O'Loughlin, Mrs Petsos, Mrs Fethers and Mrs Woodland for cooking and decorating over 450 cupcakes for us to enjoy. We are very lucky to have each and every one of you here at the College.
On Sunday we celebrate Palm Sunday and this marks the beginning of Holy Week. Next Tuesday 31st March the students from Year 3 will be hosting our special Easter reflections to recognise and celebrate the events of Holy Week. All parents are welcome to attend at 9 am or 11 am.
Kind Regards,
Antoinette De Pinto
