Around the Primary

Dear Parents

Father's Day will be celebrated on Sunday and we wish all our Fathers and Grandfathers a wonderful day with their families.

Our Chapel was packed this morning with Dads and special guests celebrating the Eucharist with their children and grandchildren. Special thanks to Mrs Fontaine, Mrs Lumley and Year 5G for preparing today's beautiful liturgy.

Similarly, it was great to see all our Dads mingling with one another and spending some special time with the children. The children just loved their Dads visiting their classrooms and the Pre Primary children also had a great time on the oval at the 'min Olympics' with their Dads.

A big thank you to Mrs Bloodworth and the Year 12 Hospitality students for preparing the delicious muffins for all our special visitors.

The countdown is now on for the Year 4 Musical, 'What a Knight!' The children have been working very hard at rehearsals with Mrs Cattapan and Mrs Allen. Next Monday the children will have a dress rehearsal and on Tuesday morning they will also present a matinee performance for the students and staff in the Primary school. The Year 4's are very excited that all the tickets have now been sold for the Tuesday night performance.

Please note: The performance will start promptly at 6:30pm

Next Thursday 8 September the Years 3-6 students will be participating in the Interhouse Athletics Carnival. The carnival will commence at 9:15am and the day will conclude with the presentation of the Shield to the winning House at approximately 2:30pm. All students will need to wear their House shirts and bring along their hat, sunscreen and a water bottle. We hope to see many parents and friends at this event to cheer on our athletes.

Kind regards

Antoinette De Pinto
Head of Primary
