This week Year 8 SOSE Classes were able to take part in an Aboriginal Cultural Excursion to the Perth Hills Discovery Centre in Mundaring. This forms part of the Australian Curriculum cross-curriculum priorities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. Students were able to learn directly from Nyoongar guides about the importance of the Dreaming, Ceremony and Communication. They also had hands on experience with utensils, weapons, bush products and tool making. It was a very positive experience for our students.
