Senior Netball

The 2013 Netball season is now complete. We had a very successful year with 16 of our 20 teams making finals and 6 of our 8 teams who played in the grand final won the Premiership. Congratulations to all players, coaches, umpires and managers on a fantastic season.

A special thank you to the 2013 JOHN XXIII College netball committee for all your hard work in making the netball club a successful club.

I would also like to thank Yevonne Gillett for all her hard work over the last four years as our coordinator. Yevonne will still be involved with the club next year at a coaching level.

Congratulations to Jess Taylor for winning the Club Champion Award. This award is given to a player who has played all five years with the John XXIII Netball Club, has been a positive role model and has contributed their time and effort to the netball club.

Congratulations to Megan Williams on receiving the Junior Achiever Award. This award is presented to a player that has played all games during the season, has a great attendance at training, positive attitude and has filled in for other teams during the season.

This year we also had an award for an up and coming umpire. Our winner of this Award was Emma McNeilly.

In 2013 we had two umpires receive their national C badge for umpiring, Hannah Cadlolo and Jordy Islip, both these girls also received awards from Perth Netball Association. Hannah received the most promising umpire award and Jordy received the most consistent umpire award. Well done to both these girls on a great achievement!
