Year 10 News

The time for parents and students to begin the selection process for Year 11 courses is fast approaching. There are two very important events on Wednesday 12th June, The Year 10 Day of Competence (for students) and the Year 10 Course Selection Evening (for parents). During the day, students will hear from a variety of guest speakers and specialist teachers. Topics include Secondary Graduation requirements, career planning guidance, the course selection timeline and important contacts. It is imperative that all students are present on the day, punctual and in full school uniform.

The Year 10 Course Selection Evening for parents will be held at 7.00pm on 12th June in the Gonzaga Barry Lecture Theatre. Your attendance at the information evening will allow you to assist your son or daughter in an informed way with their decisions about Year 11 courses and beyond. The information to be presented is a condensed version of the student seminars that will be held earlier in the day. The presenters are Mr Paul Williams (Deputy for Teaching and Learning), Mrs Margi Watson (Careers Counsellor) and myself (Dean of Year Ten). I strongly encourage all parents to attend this important event.
