Around the Primary

Dear Parents

Another great week in the Primary School and Kindy interviews for 2015 are now in full swing! It is always quite delightful sitting with families to talk about their little treasures. So far so good…my office is still intact and I have met with many lovely families all wanting the very best for their children and it is always a pleasure to be able to reassure them that they have arrived at an excellent school. Sibling interviews for Kindy 2015 will occur next term.

A big thank you to Mr Edwards and Year 4B for preparing and presenting today's entertaining assembly items based on the works of famous author Roald Dahl. Also, congratulations to all the children who received a certificate for their wonderful work and efforts.

Special thanks to all the PrePrimary parents that came along to the Speech Information session on Tuesday night. This term speech pathologists will screen PrePrimary children for Oral Narrative, Verbal Comprehension, Speech Production and Phonalogical Awareness Skills. These results are invaluable in allowing teachers to develop the most appropriate literacy programs for our young children.

Congratulations to the Year 5 and 6 students who participated in the team sports, namely netball, soccer, hockey and football played yesterday at the College against Loreto. They all tried very hard and this was yet another opportunity for our students to shine on the sporting field!

Next week we farewell Mrs Distante (Year 3B teacher) and wish her all the very best as she awaits the arrival of her new baby. We also welcome Miss Alison Ryan to our teaching team.

I look forward to seeing many musical performances at the Autumn Soiree on Sunday night. Everyone is welcome to come along and see our talented students on the stage.

Kind Regards
