Primary
Welcome back everyone!
A warm welcome back to you all! We are really looking forward to another great term - all eleven weeks of it! We've had a terrific first week - the children are happy to be back at school and the staff are very impressed with their enthusiastic attitude!
Staff have also had a really good break and are looking forward to offering many valuable learning opportunities throughout the term. Your ongoing support, encouragement and positive interactions with your teachers - whether face to face, by email or by note, makes a huge difference and help to pave the way for your child to flourish here at school.
We commenced our term with an ANZAC Assembly to commemorate the centenary of the ANZACS landing and serving on Gallipoli. The students have been learning about the ANZACs from 1915 and have enjoyed reading stories, making poppies and writing prayers. The Year 3-6 students have also written a personal commemorative message on a small wooden cross. These crosses have been displayed in the front garden and will now be passed on to the Australian War Memorial. They will then send the crosses overseas to be placed on the graves of the fallen.

NAPLAN
NAPLAN testing will be conducted throughout Week 4 of this term in Years 3 and 5. Tests are a normal part of the teaching and learning cycle here at school. We want our students to do their personal best for sure, however there is no need to put them under pressure for NAPLAN. Our messages are stay calm, read the questions carefully, check your work and do your personal best.
