All Year 9s are now vigorously involved in planning and conducting their research for the National History Challenge. The theme for this year is 'People and Consequences'. Students have been identifying wonderful family stories that they may use as the basis for their entry such as personal stories of migration to Australia and military service in Vietnam as well as some more well-known topics such as the White Australia Policy, Tom Roberts and Ned Kelly. Just as exciting is listening to the students discuss ideas about how they will present their research - models, speeches, multimedia, museum displays and a migrants suitcase! More information can be found at or contact your child's SOSE Teacher.
