Media Club

This has been a busy week for the Media Club. On Open Day a slide presentation edited by Year 12 Media Captain James Trapnell featured on-screen in the Library. This presented a typical day at John XXlll College. Many thanks to the energetic Media Club members who took the hundreds of photographs James worked with, and especially thanks to Anouk Ratnawibhushana and Media Captain Kate Elliott who spent much of the Friday taking more photographs.

On Wednesday morning members of the John XXlll College Media Production Crew met at 7am to film a pilot of JTCTV News. This was successful, highlighting production problems and raising the issue of where to run the program as it would be great for parents to view. We are in the process of sorting this out and hope to have something on-line before the Easter break. At a meeting of the Club at lunch time on Wednesday it was decided that in future the News film crews will meet after school on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, in the Library, to film the news in order to air it the following morning. Students nominated for two news crews.

On Thursday morning at 7.30am members of the Media Club attended a PD run by Mr Tyrrell in the Library to familiarise themselves with the new media equipment. The results of this should be great photographic and filmic documentation of all aspects of College life and many creative endeavours.

All students from Years 7 to 12 are welcome to come along to Media Club meetings.
