Around the Primary

Dear Parents

Preparations are now well underway for the new school year. It has been very pleasing to see so many parents at our Kindy and Pre Primary Parent Information Evenings. Thanks to those parents who provided the teachers with such positive feedback. To be so generous with your praise helps us all to keep trying hard to 'do' and 'be' our very best for your children.

Congratulations to Miss Nish, Mrs Purcell and the Year 6 students for organising our annual 'Go Kart' event. Throughout the term the students have been working in small groups planning, researching and designing a go-kart. Congratulations, also, to all of the parents for their hard work and expertise behind the scenes. The students certainly had a great time today showcasing and testing their 'magnificent machines' on the colonnades.

Ms O'Connor and the students from Year 4G are busy preparing a Mass of Thanksgiving to celebrate and pray for all the students that have received the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation this year. Everyone is welcome to meet us in the Chapel on Friday 29th November at 9am.

The College Presentation Night will take place in the St Louis Centre (gym) on Monday 2nd December at 7pm. All students from Years 4, 5 and 6 are expected to attend. Our Year 5 students will be presenting the Christmas story for us all to enjoy. Further information has been sent home regarding uniform requirements, tickets ... If, for some reason, your child will not be attending this event, please email me directly. We look forward to as many of you as possible joining us for this important College event.

The children have been working really hard during their dance lessons to ensure that their routines will be right for the Primary 'Dance Off' on Thursday 5th December. The dance demonstrations will begin at 2pm in the St Louis Centre and all the children from Years 3 - 6 will be participating. Come along and show the children some of your dance moves!

Our Year 6 Graduation and Farewell Mass will be held on Tuesday 10th December, beginning at 6.30pm in the Chapel. All parents and friends of our school community are invited to join with us as we farewell our Year 6 students and offer our thanks to God for the many achievements and blessings that shared with us throughout their Primary School years.

Kind regards

Antoinette De Pinto
Head of Primary
