Rowing

John XXIII Rowing Club has been invited to the Christchurch School Boys regatta on 23rd February (this Saturday). All boys rowing for John XXIII rowing club will be expected to attend the regatta on the weekend. We have entered the boys into two eights and five quads, Year 8 to senior boys all will be rowing and coxing. It will run very similarly to the last regatta. Boat loading will be at 5.30am on Friday morning, a parent volunteer is needed to tow the trailer to training in the morning, back to school, to the regatta, to Canning Bridge to unload the trailer and then back to the school. It would be great if maybe two parents volunteered, to share the load! The boys will be expected to be at Champion Lakes at 7.30am on Saturday in time to rig boats and get ready for races. Boys will need to wear their school gear, including zooties. Remember to bring water, hats and wear suncream, it is meant to be 26 degrees, but the boys will be in the sun for most of the day.
