The Visual Arts department will be visited by Western Australian Portraiture artist Jana Vodesil-Baruffi on Monday 8 August 2016. We would like to extend an invitation to the wider College community to hear Jana talk about her artistic practice and view her magnificent artworks. If you have a passion or interest in Visual Arts and would like to know more about portraiture and realistic painting techniques, then Jana’s skills and expertise are sure to leave you feeling inspired. Students who are currently enrolled in a Visual Arts course, or who see themselves pursing an Arts course in upper school, are strongly encouraged to attend. Jana Vodesil-Baruffi is an esteemed Western Australian Portraiture artist. She is a persistent contributor to The Archibald and Doug Moran National Portrait Prize as well as The Black Swan Portrait Prize, of which she has been a 5-time finalist and winner of the People's Choice Prize. Jana specialises in portraiture and has a fascination with portraying the essence or character of her sitter in a photo-realist style.
