Fujimi Exchange

A Big Aussie Welcome to our Fujimi Exchange Group

Welcome to our 25 students and staff, Mr Koichi Baba, Ms Yuko Hagiwara and Ms Yoko Yamazaki from Fujimi High School in Tokyo, Japan.

The group arrived on Sunday evening and were greeted warmly by their host families. On Monday morning Mr Rob Henderson and Ms Helen Aghdasi's Year 11 Japanese class presented a welcome speech to the group on behalf of the College. Since then, the students have participated in a Year Eight class, made and designed boomerangs with Mr Rob Deurloo and Ms Kiri Moore. Ms Glen James has accompanied the group on excursions to the City of Perth and Kings Park. The weather has been rather cold but fine, so it has been a wonderful time to show off our campus and our city.

Thank you to all the host families as our Fujimi students all look very happy and report that they love their new Australian life. Also, special thanks to Ms Helen Aghdasi, Mr Rob Deurloo, Ms Kiri Moore, Mr Doug Watson, the ICT Team, Ms Dianne Combrink in the Canteen, Ms Sarah Greed in Accounts and all the Administration Team for the support that you have provided to ensure that the Fujimi Exchange are safe, warm, happy, healthy and engaged in our community.
