John XXIII College Alumni, Past Parent, Current Parent "Shine Ball" - Saturday 26 October 2013

With only two weeks left to purchase tickets it's time to gather your classmates, family or friends and book a table.

Some Alumni are organising "Class" tables and not bringing partners, some are organising generations of their families to attend given this is for Loreto, St Louis and John XXIII College Alumni, Past Parents and Current Parents. Some are coming alone and joining others on the night.

Welcome drinks and canapés will be served in the Pavilion while you are being entertained by the renowned Jazz Singer Ali Bodycoat (Class 1986)

The new St Louis Sports Centre is going to be transformed into a stunning ball room and at a cost of $175.00 pp you will also be wined and dined with sumptuous food and drink all night.

Following dinner, L.A. Gold, a great tribute band will play for the rest of the evening; please don't forget your dancing shoes.

Dress is formal and although not necessarily black tie, it will be fabulous to see everyone looking glamorous as we celebrate and recognise 75 years since the founding of St Louis; the opening of the new St Louis Gym and showcase some outstanding Alumni.

This is a rare opportunity for your entire community to get together; I'm looking forward to meeting you on the night. It is not a fundraiser but a friend raising event.

For more information about the Shine Ball, please email or call the Alumni Development office on 9383 0520.

Harrison Court

Well done to Harrison Court who debuted with the Claremont Tigers on Tuesday night against the Southport Sharks at Patersons Stadium. Harrison is in Year 12 and was noted as being very impressive following the convincing 54 point win in the Foxtel Cup. Let's hope he follows in Matt DeBoer's (Class 2007) footsteps and eventually plays for the AFL.

Christopher Dragon and Lucy Durack

George and Toni's prodigies do it for WAAPA - Christopher Dragon (Class 2007) and Lucy Durack (Class 1998) are both showcasing in the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts Newsletter this month. Earlier this year Lucy was awarded the prestigious Judith Johnson Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her lead role as Elle Woods in the hit musical Legally Blonde. You can see Lucy next week on the Adam Hills ABC program 8.30pm Wednesday 26 June 2013.
