Around the Primary

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to Term 3!

I hope the school holidays have given your children time to rest, relax and have some fun. Now is the time to support them to get back into the swing of a good school routine.

Please make sure your children are eating breakfast, sleeping well and have healthy food choices in their lunch boxes.

It is essential that children are wearing the correct school uniform each day and have a neat and tidy hairstyle.

Staff have been busy preparing the learning program for Term 3. We started the new semester with our two professional development days and the staff are looking forward to another great term of teaching and learning. This term we welcome back Mrs Burke, our Literacy Support teacher.

This morning Jorja Knowles, Jack Chapman and two secondary students proudly accompanied Mr Henderson to the opening Mass of the Catholic School’s Performing Arts Festival. Performing Arts are an integral part of the Primary curriculum.

Later in the term we will get to view the Year 4 production, ‘A Knight’s Tale’. Under the expert direction of Mrs Cattapan and Mrs Ferguson-Allen, this promises to be a musical to remember.

In addition to this we have a number of sporting events this term. The students have been training hard for our Years 3-6 Interhouse Cross Country Carnival next Tuesday 26 July. The Carnival begins at 12:30pm and we hope many parents, grandparents and friends can come along and cheer on our enthusiastic runners.

Our first Assembly for the term is on Friday 29 July at 9am in the Exhibition Centre. The Year 6’s will be receiving their Leadership badges on the day.
