Around the Primary
Dear Parents,
We had a wonderful turnout at our Parent Information Meetings this week. Your presence was a highly visible sign of your commitment to your children and support to the teachers. We are indeed very fortunate to have such knowledgeable, innovative and positive staff at our school. The year level presentations are now available on the College website for anyone who would like to read through the key messages again.
A few important reminders: -
- If your child arrives after 9.00am they must report directly to the Office.
- If your child has a recurring appointment, such as, music lesson, medical appointment etc please send an email to primary.absentees@johnxxiii.edu.au advising of the date/time of the appointment.
- Students not collected by 3.30pm will be waiting in the front Office for their parents.
Thank you to Mrs Fontaine and Year 5G for preparing our beautiful Ash Wednesday Mass. The students participated so reverently and sang enthusiastically under the guidance of Miss Alexander, our new Liturgical Music teacher. It was so lovely to see so many parents join us at our first Primary Mass of the year.
Our Junior Primary classes marked the start of the Lenten season by participating in their own special Ash Wednesday prayer reflections.
In addition, the Year One students have been talking about how to be more like Jesus and choosing good deeds to do during Lent. I hope you enjoy reading some of their Lenten promises.

Congratulations to our Year 6 leaders who were Commissioned this week. They are all part of a portfolio and are now proudly wearing their leadership badges. We look forward to seeing them in action in our Primary community.

- Family photos with Secondary siblings will be taken at a later day.
The students of Year 4B have been busy preparing next Friday's assembly. Everyone is welcome to come along.
