In the Library

This week the primary children in Years 2 - 6 attended sessions presented by one of our Authors in Residence James Foley. James illustrated the book "The Last Viking" by Norman Jorgenson and has now almost completed his first book "In the Lion", as an author and illustrator. James showed the children some of his early stories he wrote when he was in primary school and inspired them to have a go at writing and illustrating stories.

"James' work was amazing and he certainly inspired me to draw. I have great hopes for his book "In the Lion!" and certainly think it will be a bestselling book. He has amazing knowledge of drawing different things including "The Tardus" from Doctor Who. He has an excellent sense of humour. I specifically liked his angry cartoon face and his cartoon concussed face. I think he will have a great career."
