Boys Rowing Reports

4th February

The John XXIII boys' rowing crews competed in their first regatta of the season at Canning Bridge, on Saturday 4 February.

In spite of very windy conditions, the Year 9, 10 and Seniors' crews participated in all of their events with the Year 10 Quad Crew performing magnificently in the newly purchased Quad boat to triumph in their race.

The rowing crews have been preparing for this season's Regattas during the recent school holidays and are ready for an exciting racing season, which includes being involved in the up-coming Australian Championships to be held in Perth in March.

The Year 10 Quad Crew took the lead AGAIN this week, performing with incredible enthusiasm to take first place! Congratulations!!!

Next Saturday, 18th February, the boys and girls will compete at Canning Bridge. It would be a pleasure to see as many girl rowers as possible on Saturday to cheer on all the crews and feel the spirit of rowing regattas.

Please feel welcome to come down and support the boys and girls, and see them in action! Racing is generally between 8.30-11.30am. It's usually a lovely morning down by the Swan River and delicious morning teas are provided by the host School on the day.
