John XXIII College Solar Energy System

John XXIII College has installed a 27.36kW solar energy system.

We use this system in school to:

  1. Explain the importance of renewable energy and sustainable living;
  2. Enable students to learn ways to save energy, while reducing the school's electricity bill at the same time;
  3. Provide an opportunity for students and the school community to learn more about renewable energy, and
  4. Be part of the solution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Australia.

Have a look for yourself!

If you are thinking of having Solar Panels installed in your home, you should try and get in before June 30th as the government subsidy comes to an end so most systems will increase by a significant amount…

Sustainability competition

Don't forget to enter our Sustainability competition; can you create a masterpiece using only recycled materials? The competition is open to K - 12 years. Entries close June 29th.

There are great prizes up for grabs; you have to be in to win!

If you can contribute some sustainable ideas or suggestions for the College please feel free to email me

Let's work together to make a noticeable improvement in the area of sustainability at John XXIII College.
