Richard Swan, the Director of 'Hot Rock', spoke with Year 10 Geography students yesterday as part of their study of Environmental Change and Management.

He discussed the 'Seed to Tree Program' currently taking place at John XXIII College where 5,000 seedlings have been planted and are now growing in a purpose built shade house on the campus.

30 students will have the opportunity to take part in an overnight camp in August this year to plant the seedlings on a farm in the WA wheat belt near Beverley. Mr Swan discussed the significance of this program in helping to rehabilitate the wheat belt area where there are significant environmental problems caused by land clearing.
