Around the Primary
Today we celebrated John XXIII Day and this brought to a conclusion Founders' Time.
Over the past three weeks the children have had the opportunity to learn more about St Ignatius, Mary Ward and Saint Pope John XXIII and also to reflect on how they might try to embrace the special qualities of compassion, competence and conscience in their daily lives.
All the children had an absolutely fantastic time today! Our whole school community commenced the day with a beautiful Mass celebrated in the St Louis Sports Centre. The students then had lots of fun with friends and teachers at the 'mini fete', kindly organised by Mr Edwards and our Year 5 and 6 students.
We finished the day with various activities such as, team games at Revolution Sports, Footsteps Dance, Loose Parts Play and Remida Art. Special thanks to all the staff for their hard work to ensure we certainly celebrate John XXIII Day in style.
We can now look forward to the weekend to rest and relax in readiness for another busy week in the Primary School.
On Tuesday 'Zero the Hero' visited Pre Primary to celebrate the children's 100th day at school. The children thoroughly enjoyed participating in a range of activities designed to celebrate 'one hundred' in fun and creative ways.
On Thursday our Interschool Cross Country team travelled to Bunbury to participate in the IPSHA Cross Country Carnival. Our students participated whole heartedly and with great enthusiasm. Well done to all our Primary runners. A big thank you to Mr Alderman, Mrs Magee and Ms O'Donnell for all their work on the day. Results will follow next week.
Kind Regards,
