Rowing News

We're looking forward to another great season of rowing at JTC and hope your son is going to be a part of it again. Registration Night for the 2014/2015 boys' rowing season was on Wednesday 3rd September.

If you were unable to attend Registration Night, please fill out the forms and email them to me ( ).

EFT is our preferred payment method and the details are:

John XXIII Rowing Club

BSB: 036-063

Acc: 181149

Please include rower's name as 'bank description' and email an EFT receipt with your registration form. Alternately, fees may be paid by cash or cheque, placed in a clearly marked envelope addressed to The Treasurer, Rowing Box, c/o Main Administration at the College.

Please hand in your son's sports cap with your registration formand fees (to the Main Administration) so that it can be embroidered for next year. If you require a new cap, it will be $20 (with 2014/15 details on it) and you can add past years for $5 per year. If you have queries about this please email me before completing your forms. We require all caps for embroidery, registration forms and any monies owing, to be handed in on Registration Night or dropped off at the Main Administration office at the College by Wednesday 10th September at the latest. This will allow time to embroider caps before the Handover Night (Wednesday 24th September) where they will be presented again to the boys. Those who hand their caps in after the deadline may not be able to receive them at Handover and will be charged an additional $22/embroidery.

Kind regards

We have our final regatta for the Girls Season 2014, State Championships on this weekend. With two full days of boys and girls racing, we're so excited to see so many athletes participating and fingers crossed we can manage to take home some gold! Would love to see our parents and friends down at Champion Lakes to support the rowers (the weather is supposed to be clearing!). This is the biggest rowing event of the year in WA, and it's fantastic to see our club grow into it.

Is coming up on Wednesday the 24th of September at 7:00pm! It's a great way to unwind after a long season, and a great way for new parents to get to know the community and coaches. Book it in!

The last training session for Girls Season 2014 is Tuesday the 16th of September. All rowers are required to attend this session.

It's fast approaching us! Dean will soon be sending out entries for our regatta. Kids will be racing in sculls, doubles and quads; and all alumni will be able to relive the glory days in quads! if you know anyone who used to row for JTC at any point, follow us on Facebook ( and email to register your interest!
