Dear Parents

This morning we came together to celebrate a special Mass dedicated to all our Mothers. We thank our Year One students for helping Fr Wilson with all the prayers and readings. Special thanks to Ms Ilich, Miss Saracco and Miss Rushmere for all their hard work in preparing this beautiful liturgy. After Mass it was lovely to see so many stay for a cuppa and a chat.

Happy Mother's Day to all our magnificent Mums. I hope all families enjoy some special family time on Sunday.

Last night our Kindy parents participated in an informative and interactive workshop presented by Sue Beurteaux, an Occupational Therapist. Sue provided a wonderful insight into how children learn and in particular why setting up strong foundation skills in the home and school are imperative and also important factors in fine motor and learning outcomes.

We look forward to seeing parents back for part two, next Thursday 12 May at 6:30pm. Don't forget to bring your homework task along!

Next week our Year 3 and 5 students will complete the NAPLAN assessments. It is important to remember that these tests are only a snapshot of a child's learning and the data collected is used to help schools know where to focus their teaching. It is important to simply remind the students to do their personal best on the day.

Our Year 6 students are now proudly wearing their new leaders' shirts. Our future leaders look amazing and are certainly going to be wonderful ambassadors walking around Canberra in a couple of weeks.

Kind regards
