Around the Primary

Dear Parents

Welcome back to Term 2! The school holidays have once again come and gone! The two weeks seemed to fly by, however; I hope everyone had a very happy and relaxing time. We can now look forward to all the engaging learning opportunities in store at John XXIII for this term.

Yesterday we had a beautiful ANZAC Day liturgy. All the students were very dignified and respectful throughout the service. We were also so fortunate to have a Secondary parent, Brigadier David Thompson AM, come and speak to our community about the meaning and importance of Anzac Day.

Mother's Day is just around the corner and we want to celebrate this with all our Mums. All marvellous Mothers are invited to attend our Mass dedicated to all of you on Friday 6 May at 9am in the gym. We hope all Mothers will be able to join us but if this is not possible, a special Aunty or Grandmother may like to come along. A light morning tea will be served in the Exhibition Centre at the conclusion of Mass. RSVP slips are also requested for catering purposes. Mothers are also welcome to visit classrooms between 8:30-8:45am on the day.

For your convenience, the term calendar and a staff list of email addresses can be accessed by clicking on the links.

Parents are reminded to use emails only when necessary; to keep them short and to the point and most importantly to maintain a respectful tone throughout. Issues of an important or sensitive nature should be discussed face to face in a parent teacher meeting. Thank you for your co-operation.

Kind regards

Antoinette De Pinto
