Would you like to host a Japanese Language Assistant?
For many years, we have run a successful Japanese Language Assistant Program with associates from Kyoto Women's University. The Language Assistants work voluntarily and provide wonderful support to both teachers and students towards understanding and practice of the Japanese language and culture.
Our next Japanese Assistant is called Yumi from Osaka. She will be here from late March to the end of the year and will attend John XXIII College each school day and take part in Japanese lessons. We are seeking assistance in providing her with accommodation, breakfast and dinner each day for approximately 11 weeks or more. Your family will receive funds to contribute towards her expenses.
Families are encouraged to consider hosting Yumi. We are sure that this will be an invaluable experience for all concerned and a significant advantage for our students of Japanese.
If you are able to look after Yumi, please email Shane Glass with your details

French Exchange Program 2012
We have a group of 21 students and 4 teachers from our sister-school, Notre Dame de Sion in Marseilles, France, arriving on the 21 February as part of our successful French Exchange Program. The students will be staying with host families, attend school daily and visit the City of Perth, Fremantle, Rottnest, Caversham Wild-life Park and Hillarys. The students will also participate in lessons within the College and visit of our French classes. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the teachers who have volunteered to provide special History, Cooking, Sports and Art lessons for our visitors or have invited them to join their classes.
A special thank you to all the families that have volunteered to host. Without their generous hospitality this exchange programme could not take place.
