Inter House Swimming Carnival
2013 HOUSE SWIMMING CARNIVAL (Sr Mary Murray Championship Cup)
The Koolyangarra swimming dynasty continues on the back of yet another championship victory. Held at Challenge Stadium on Monday, February 18th, the Inter House Swimming Carnival saw a sea of colour adorn the pool side seating to witness the 'Green Machine' take out their fourth Sr Mary Murray Championship Cup in a row. Loyola House were runners up thanks to some impressive individual and team efforts in the main pool. Loyola were also the recipients of the coveted 'Spirit Award', for the House judged to have displayed the most vocal support, participation and exemplary behaviour throughout the day. Record breaking feats from Year 8 St Louis student Sian Munks (100 & 50m Freestyle), Year 9 Loyola student Beatrice Tay (50m Breststroke and 50m Butterfly) and the Year 9 Girls Loyola 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay team were all major highlights of this electric day.
Congratulations to our amazing Individual Champions and runners up. These competitors, listed below, will make up a large part of our ACC Swim Team who will represent the College later this term:
