Around the Primary

Dear Parents

A sincere thank you to all those that came along to our final whole school Primary Mass this morning. It was a really lovely opportunity to farewell Fr Gaetan and to say goodbye to staff who are leaving.

On Thursday afternoon Year 3 - 6 students shared a wonderful smorgasbord of dances with us. It was very special watching the sheer delight on the children's faces. Congratulations to all the parents who just couldn't resist singing and dancing with their children. Special thanks to Mr and Mrs Alderman for organising this superb experience for our students.

Looking back over the year, I have been grateful for the many opportunities I have had to meet with our Year 6 students. Next Tuesday night this wonderful group of students will graduate from Primary School. These students are leaving us having learnt valuable life lessons, they have learnt from their mistakes; they have learnt that their ideas are valuable; they have found their voice; they have discovered talents they didn't know they had, however; most importantly these students are leaving us ready to use their gifts and talents and are prepared to persist to achieve their goals. May the graduating Year 6 students of 2012 achieve every success for their new journey into Secondary School.

It has been a very busy, fruitful year - a real team effort. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all staff, parents and, of course, students for all the ways you have contributed to school life this year.

May the Christmas holiday provide you all with the time to rest and rejuvenate and have special and fun times with your families.

Christmas blessings to you all and take good care over the holiday break.

Reports will be posted home during the holidays.
