John XXIII College is proud to be one of 12 schools selected to be involved in the program Prepare, Produce, Provide. Our hospitality students have been charged with producing 500 meals over the course of this term. The program is a joint venture with Foodbank and Crown Perth. We are provided with produce to then produce these meals. Our current tally is 165 serves of apricot chicken. We plan to increase our tally with another 200 serves of Jamie Oliver's Chicken Pot Pie and another 200 serves of Green Chicken Curry between the 17 June and the 25 June. The project will culminate with a Cooking demonstration and Cook off with high profile chefs and apprentices onsite at John XXIII College on 3rd July. This will be followed by an Expo at Crown after school also on 3rd July. Here are some photos of our achievements so far.
