Around the Primary
Dear Parents,
To coincide with the Feast of Corpus Christi on Sunday, the Year 3-6 students celebrated a beautiful Mass with Fr Wilson this morning. This Mass was kindly prepared by Ms O'Connor and the students from 4G. Please keep the Year 4 students in your prayers as they continue with preparations for their First Communion.
Next Wednesday 10 June, the Year 3 classes will be visiting the Schoenstatt Shrine in Armadale, as part of their Reconciliation program. They will spend the day moving through a variety of activities to deepen their understanding of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and to reflect on how important Reconciliation is in our lives.
Since the beginning of this year, the Primary teachers have been using software known as SEQTA to maintain attendance records of our students. This semester we will be using SEQTA for students' reports. The report will look a little different to previous reports, however, the information will essentially be the same. Also from this year, the reports will be made available online at the end of this school term. Reports will not be printed and posted home. For the first time, our Pre Primary students will also be issued with a foundation report. Each family will soon receive instructions and a password to access their children's reports. More information will follow.
Our Cross-Country Carnival is scheduled for Thursday 25 June. In preparation for this great event, Mr Alderman is co-ordinating Cross-County training every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7.30-8.00 am. All students from Year 3 onwards are welcome to attend and parents are welcome to join in too! This is an excellent opportunity for the whole family to improve their fitness and performance.
Special thanks to our parent community for organising the delicious morning tea for staff today. The delicious treats were greatly appreciated.
Enjoy the weekend!
Kind Regards,
Antoinette De Pinto
