Year 7 News

Dcn Aaron Peters - Assistant Deputy Principal Year 7

The new school year has started with a rush of excitement from our incoming Year 7 cohort. The students spent three days in the Transition program where they met new classmates and teachers. In particular, the students spent time with their House Homeroom teacher who will play a very important role in their school life over the next four terms.

Transition Week, provides Homeroom teachers with time to immerse the students in the ethos and heritage of the College as well as meeting specialist teachers and learning College procedures and policies. Highlights of the week were the Heritage walk with Year 11 students, a sausage sizzle on day one generously prepared by our parent helpers, meeting the various specialist teachers and a fun and refreshing swimming trial to round off the week.

Our second week of school has seen the students settle into their regular routine of classes and activities. Many students have been trying out for various NAS teams and we wish them every success in those sports. Our week has finished with the Opening Whole School Mass and secondary assembly.
