Primary

Dear Parents,

Early on Monday morning our Year 6 students well be leaving on their trip to Canberra. The students and staff are very excited about their learning adventure to our National Capital. Our students will be accompanied by Ms Allen, Miss Joyce, Mrs Murphy, Mr Edwards, Mrs Goss and Miss Graves. While on this educational tour they will participate in a variety of educational programmes focussed on Australia's history, culture, heritage and democracy. I'm sure that this trip will be a rewarding experience for all our 56 students. We would lie to thank the Australian Government for contributing $260 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards the travel expenses incurred.

A special reminder, all Mothers are warmly invited to our Mass dedicated to Mothers on Friday 15th May. This will be followed by a light morning tea in the Thomas More Exhibition Centre. To assist with catering, it would be appreciated if you could RSVP by next Friday 8th May (see invitation attached for details).

Yesterday Holly Cannon (6G) and Lachlan Preston (6B) represented John XXIII College at the Archbishop's Lifelink Launch. Archbishop Costelloe met with students and staff from various Catholic Primary Schools and explained how the various Lifelink Agencies deliver caring support to many families and individuals right here in WA. The Archbishop encouraged us all to have 'listening ears, seeing eyes and a heart that wants to help'. More details will follow later about the Lifelink Appeal.
